Messi clearly enjoyed Brozovic’s unorthodox method

Lionel Messi is a fan of Marcelo Brozovic’s technique.

The Barcelona star watched his side beat Inter 2-0 from the stands as he recovers from injury, but was clearly entertained.

When Luis Suarez lined up his free-kick during the Champions League game, he didn’t count on Brozovic’s brilliant defensive tactic.
The 25-year-old Croatian slid across the floor, with the ball rebounding off his back and to safety.

It was a tad unconventional, but it worked.

Rafinha opened the scoring in the game to give the hosts a 1-0 half-time lead and Jordi Alba killed off Inter’s resistance in the second half.

Barca are top of Group B with nine points while Inter are second on six, with PSV and Tottenham struggling on a point.
