Real Madrid are reportedly planning a shock January swoop for former Manchester United star Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Real were beaten for the fourth time in their last five matches against Levante on Saturday and currently sit seventh in La Liga, having lost three of their first nine league matches.

The Galacticos have also notched just 13 goals in their first nine league games and in a bid to avert their striking problems, they are readying a shock move for Swedish star Ibrahimovic.

According to Cadena Cope, the 37-year-old is firmly on Real’s radar and will be available in January once his LA Galaxy contract expires.

The former United frontman has bagged 22 goals in just 25 appearances in the MLS this term and despite his previous affiliation to Barcelona, Real are poised to swoop for the in-form striker.

It has earlier been reported that the Red Devils were considering a move to bring him back to Old Trafford themselves.
